| Instructor Bio: | Keegan McGhie is a nationally recognized sewing, quilting, embroidery, and long-arm instructor known for making even the most technical skills feel approachable and achievable. As the #1 BERNINA Dealer in the Western District and a Top 10 Dealer nationally, Keegan brings exceptional product knowledge and real-world experience into every class taught. With extensive experience in garment construction, serging, quilting, machine embroidery, and long-arm quilting, Keegan’s passion lies in helping students truly understand their machines and techniques—not just follow steps. Classes are designed to build confidence quickly, with a focus on why techniques work and how to apply them successfully at home. Keegan works daily with BERNINA sewing machines, sergers, embroidery systems, and long-arm machines, and is especially known for creative serger techniques, innovative quilting methods, and precision long-arm quilting using rulers, pantographs, and freehand designs. Students appreciate Keegan’s ability to explain stitch formation, tension, and workflow in a clear, practical way that immediately improves results. Beyond teaching, Keegan is a business owner, event host, and curriculum designer who creates original projects and engaging sewing experiences for quilters and sewists of all levels. Keegan’s teaching style is supportive, encouraging, and detail-oriented—welcoming beginners while still offering depth and refinement for experienced makers. At the heart of every class is a simple goal: to help students leave feeling confident, inspired, and excited to keep creating long after class ends. |
