Jami Wendell, Store Manager

Sewing and art is my passion.  I have been sewing since I was little, it really took off in high school with fashion design classes. I have always been known as the crafty one growing up.  People always said, "Ask Jami how to make that, she'll find a way!” My true love is sewing. I sew apparel garments, crafts projects, and home decorations, and of course since working here at going batty! for over 7 years, I have been addicted to quilting. One surprising talent I have is creating garments by draping, I’ve worked on this technique for a long time and it is my favorite method of designing and sewing garments. I also do a lot of painting and drawing; I’ve been creating my artwork since I was 13. I love getting dirty in paint creating abstract images. My drawings include a lot of landscapes but mainly clothing designs. I’ve been designing my own clothes for several years and I have piles of designs, ask me next time you see me to show you some of my work, I’d be happy to.

Here’s something you may not know about me; my husband John and I have two wonderful children!  We are so blessed to have these two amazing children, Nikolas and Lillian, in our lives. I have many interests and talents to share, come by the shop and say hi!
