Alex Anderson celebrated eleven years hosting “Simply Quilts” on HGTV, she is a quilt expert and author of 14 books. Anderson has been a BERNINA lover for over 24 years, she says it was ‘love at first stitch’. As spokesperson for Bernina of America, she continues to share her passion for the art and craft of quilting. “One of the reasons I love BERNINA,” says Alex, “is that they’re dedicated to creativity in everything they do, always coming up with new features that make these machines such a joy to play with.” The most recent innovation from Bernina is the world’s first stitch regulator for a home sewing machine. The Bernina Stitch Regulator actually “reads” the fabric in order to create precise stitches while freemotion stitching. An avid quilter for over 20 years, Anderson feels that that the Bernina Stitch Regulator (BSR) ‘could change many quilter’s lives’ by making machine quilting easier and more accessible. She will give a virtual trunk show charting her 30 years of quilting. Alex will also be available to sign copies of her books and Bernina sewing machines purchased at the event. Going Batty Quilt Shop will also offer special event pricing on Bernina sewing machines, and a free photo with Alex Anderson and the new machine purchased at this time
