I started quilting after my second child was born, and was hooked immediately! A few years later we moved. As I was unpacking my quilting boxes I found quilt top after quilt top - fourteen to be exact! I had actually never finished a quilt! I started asking around and found that many of my friends were in the same situation. And so Going Batty was born.

Although pieced quilt tops are beautiful, there is nothing as exquisite as the same quilt top that has been beautifully stitched to accent the piecing.

Overall-
This service is for one treatment stitched over the entire quilt. This can include large free motion design work like meandering, or a repeated pantograph design. This is the perfect choice for quilts that will be "well-loved" and be frequently washed.

Overall with a border-
This service is the same as the above with the addition of a separate border treatment either from a pattern or free motion design work. We have many border treatments to choose from or we will design one to compliment your quilt.

Custom-
This service includes a variety of different custom applications applied throughout the quilt. This may include such treatments as circles, cross hatching, stitch-in-the ditch, fans, small meandering, individual block treatments, and use of templates, stencils, or tissue paper transfers.
Do you have a favorite work of art from one of your children? We will be happy to quilt the design! This can include outlines of little hands, a favorite work of art, or a design you have created yourself!

Basting service-
This service is for hand quilters. We will baste your quilt layers together with large stitches approximately four inches apart to prepare the quilt for hand quilting. This saves a lot of time pinning and unpinning and really secures the quilt layers. The stitches are easily removed as you quilt.

Batting
We carry quality, affordable batting including cotton, 80/20, bleached cotton, polydown, and washable wool for your convenience. You may supply your own or we will be happy to make a recommendation for you.

Thread
Our studio walls are adorned with beautiful cones of thread. Whether you choose 100% cotton, polyester, variegated, metallic, or monofilament, we have the colors to perfectly enhance your quilt. Sometimes multiple colors are the perfect treatment, so don't limit yourself.

Binding
From preparing the binding, to hand stitching it to the back and everything in between, we can accommodate your binding needs.

Basic binding-- includes trimming the quilt, preparing the binding, and machine stitching it to the quilt top. The binding is left for you to finish using your preferred method.

Complete binding-- includes the above plus we will hand stitch the binding to the back of the quilt for you.

Labels
Documentation of your quilt is important for future generations. We offer a variety of individually customized labels for you to choose from. All labels are printed on your choice of white or natural muslin with black ink. The label will be stitched into the binding on two sides if you are receiving this service and will need to be hand stitched on the other two sides after you receive the quilt. We can even include a personal message if the quilt is a gift.
